View items...Several members of community groups crossing Brunsweick & regency met with council officers who did a walk through and found "most" obstructions now acceptable.
There were a few cases though where shop owners had to be "informed" of the conditions allowing items places to be placed on the highway.
Our officer
has finished his investigations into the 5 remaining premises you reported as
having obstructing A-boards. Here are their
conclusions:

I’m sorry for the delay in updating you on this issue but there are several sites still being investigated and actions on-going at this time. I walked the length of Western Road (Brighton and Hove ) last Thursday and Friday following up previous visits and there are still several shops that are in the process of sending in new applications for an A-Board licence which are being dealt with as they come in.
Our Highways Enforcement Officer Hamish McKenzie has now visited all but two premises you reported. Actions are as follows:
HEC 1107 – La Palma Café, Western Road Hove (on a crossing point at no. 1)
HEC 1106 – Casba Restaurant, Western Road Hove
HEC 1114 – CFC Loans
HEC 1113 – Natwest Bank
