Within the last month there has been an increase of Skateboarders and BMX bikers in Bartholomew Square & also rough sleepers within the lanes car park.

The Regency team are aware and patrol through the square and car park daily and dealing with the offenders robustly. Vehicle crime is again a problem within the Regency area and we ask both residents and visitors to the City to take care to remove all valuables from view. It is important to remove both the Sat Navigation systems and the holders as these are prime targets for thieves. Another problem that comes with living, working and visiting a large City is the parking restrictions and recently we have had to issue fixed penalty notices for vehicles parked illegally, and in some cases the vehicles have been towed away.
Please pay close attention to permit holder spaces, loading bays, double yellow lines and any other restrictions that may apply and do not obstruct the use of pavements or doors. If in doubt, use one of the many multi-storey car parks.
Cycling on the pavement and not paying attention to traffic lights when cycling on the road are major issues for the Regency area, and we have just completed several mornings against cycling on the pavement, whereby we issued fixed penalty notices. Our advice is to walk your bicycle whilst on the pavement and when cycling on the road pay attention to the highway code and also wear high visibility clothing and a cycle helmet. If visiting the City in the evenings, please respect the local community and keep shouting and screaming to a minimum as residents do live in these party areas. If you would like to contact me personally my work mobile number is 07766997913. Should you be a victim of crime it can be reported on the non-emergency number: 0845 60 70 999
