Passengers who wait for the 12 or 37 at the bus stop outside Sainsbury in North Street Brighton can finally catch their bus in the morning
Bus services in the city will
be disrupted between 8am and 4pm. The first phase will be in operation until
11am when the city centre will be closed.
From 8am most buses approaching
the city centre from the west (coming from Hove) will terminate near Churchill
Square. They will turn up Montpelier Road, go along Upper North Street, down
Regent Hill and terminate at Clarence Square facing back towards Hove. However
the 6 will continue along its normal route to Brighton Station.
Starting Monday 9 November work will commence on resurfacing the carriageway in North Street that has been affected by the recent Victorian Mains replacement program.
To enable this work to be carried out safely and without delays to our services North Street will be made one way with traffic travelling east down North Street only.
