Several members of community groups crossing Brunsweick & regency met with council officers who did a walk through and found "most" obstructions now acceptable.
There were a few cases though where shop owners had to be "informed" of the conditions allowing items places to be placed on the highway.

I’m sorry for the delay in updating you on this issue but there are several sites still being investigated and actions on-going at this time. I walked the length of Western Road (Brighton and Hove ) last Thursday and Friday following up previous visits and there are still several shops that are in the process of sending in new applications for an A-Board licence which are being dealt with as they come in.
Our Highways Enforcement Officer Hamish McKenzie has now visited all but two premises you reported. Actions are as follows:
