New Sainsburys increases havoc

Open letter regarding the Argus article

Reference the deliveries at the new sainsburys and tesco store.
This situation has been going on for quite a while, in addition to the ludicrous parking along the whole of that stretch of road. Most notably along the opposite the Providence pub by the taxis and the "take away" delivery drivers, and by the post office where people park right next to the pedestrian refuge.
This is now being made harder by the "just be a minute" people who park to use the cash machine or pop into the shop.

In addition to the comments over the fact that there was "nothing that can be done" there was an opportunity when the alcohol licence was put in to restrict loading times, however it was not within the licensing restriction guidelines.

It is time that this entire stretch of road was properly controlled and enforced. A browse along the Google street view  (BN12AD) will show the minor state of parking abuse on this road. Highway code 243 covers this situation nicely
DO NOT stop or park opposite a traffic island or (if this would cause an obstruction) another parked vehicle.
