Ship Street Gardens Gating Request: Stage Two consultation
Following a request from residents, police, ward councillors and the Brighton Old Town Local Action Team, the council has been investigating the potential of a night time Gating Order for Ship Street Gardens as a response to criminal and antisocial behaviour.

This process has followed the stages set out in the Brighton and Hove City Council document 'Protocol for the assessment and delivery of Gating Orders' which can be downloaded from the council website.

Following local consultation and crime analysis a proposed intervention has been developed for the night time Gating of the Gardens and this is now being circulated amongst local and statutory stakeholders for comment. The full report 'Ship Street Gardens - Stage 2 Consultation' and associated appendices can be downloaded from the files section
