The Licensing Team are running a consultation about the way applications for licenses to sell alcohol are considered by Brighton & Hove City Council.
As part of this they are considering extending the Cumulative Impact Area and the Special Stress Area and are looking at developing a matrix approach for considering applications.
Residents in Farman Street, Brighton, have been given the go-ahead to shut off their street to late night revellers, despite opposition from campaigners.
The road could now be closed to non-residents from 9pm until 8am each day.
CCTV was installed and lighting approved but locals said it was still used by street drinkers, drug users, vandals and others who used it as a short cut from Western Road.
Passengers who wait for the 12 or 37 at the bus stop outside Sainsbury in North Street Brighton can finally catch their bus in the morning
We are receiving more and more noise complaints around pubs.

The council recently repainted the yellow loading restriction markers on the pavement as can be seen in this picture of a van parked right next to the bin.
The lines are in the bottom right and just under the bin.
Robin Hood's sixth birthday that is
appaoaching. I really should have let you known much earlier but I've been very
busy organising away. As you know The Robin Hood gives all it's profits away to
local charities, and has been doing so for nearly six years. To celebrate that
over £60,000 being donated in the past we are holding a street party on Sunday
30th May. There will be live music, barbecue and fun activities for all. I do
hope yourself and any members of ebra will come along and support. It is
runnning from 12-9pm on Norfolk Place, then we'll carry on partying inside the
pub. Let's just hope for sun.
Yours,
Chris Dodd
It all started with a photograph, posted on twitter and spread into a full debate over Taj Natural Foods going bust
In a run up to the A Board day of action, we are enclosing some of the pictures that are either to big, to numerous or just without licences. For a copy of the 2010 licence conditions, please see below

Brighton & Hove City Council is to bring forward extra measures to tackle future severe weather following the recent cold snap.
Council leader Mary Mears has been reviewing the service after visiting the city's Hollingdean depot today (Tues) to talk to the gritting crews, bin men and women and gardeners involved in the operation.
She said: "I was impressed by the helpful suggestions that came forward from the staff on the ground who are closest to the residents. As a result I will be announcing several key improvements before the New Year.
"As well as making changes in the way we grit the roads and pavements, I believe we must work even better with our partners to make sure that the city keeps moving when temperatures fall.
"We must remember that this was a particularly severe and prolonged cold snap of the type that comes along only once every few years. From the day before the snow we had our gritting and street clearing teams, gardeners, arborists, drivers, bin men and women and managers out and about in the city implementing our severe weather plan.
“However, it is clear to me that many concerns have been raised by residents and they think that we could have done things differently. I want us to address those concerns."
The council has also confirmed that there will be an independent review into the council's handling of the recent winter weather. An Environment and Community Safety Overview & Scrutiny committee early next year will be tasked with investigating the planning and processes, establishing whether any improvements can be made.
