Free over 18's 'Parkour' taster sessions
Parkour is a physical training discipline that allows people to overcome any obstacle within their path, by adapting their body movements to fit with their surroundings.
It is a non-competitive, physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible. Skills involve jumping and climbing as well as other bespoke parkour manovers.
The object of parkour is to get from one place to another using only the human body and objects such as railings, steps and walls as aids to assist their movement and travel.
Parkour is often seen practiced in urban areas because of the diverse environment public structures provide.
If you would like to take part in a FREE parkour workshop, then contact Emma Greenough on 01273 852304 or

20mph review in Brighton & Hove
The Environment and Community Safety Overview and Scrutiny Committee at Brighton & Hove City Council has set up a Scrutiny Panel to conduct a ‘Speed Reduction Review: An investigation into 20 mph speed limits/zones’.
As part of the scrutiny process the panel is keen to canvas opinion from a wide range of groups and organisations about 20 mph speed limits and 20 mph zones. In particular, the panel would like to hear the views of Neighbourhood Forums about the impact of possible speed reduction initiatives in their area.
Please could you contact me as soon as possible, but by no later than the 31 December if you would like to provide information and evidence for the scrutiny panel to consider.
Many thanks,

Telephone Masts
Below is an e mail from Cllr Elgood concerning a Planning Application for the erection of telephone masts. Please read it and respond to Planning with your comments.
Bill Cowell
Dear colleague
I would be grateful if you would circulate this information as widely as possible, and ask residents from across the ward to comment on the application. If this goes ahead other masts, such as at Intergen House, could also be tripled in strength.
older people, who may only enjoy alcohol occasionally
We’re currently trying to recruit discussion groups in three specific areas to talk about alcohol consumption. We’re interested in speaking with a range of older people, who may only enjoy alcohol occasionally, or who may like to drink more frequently.
