You may or may not be aware of the Big Caterpillar eco-art project that took place last year – it was supported by EBRA and created by Georgealexander Group for Friend’s of St Andrew’s Church. Emily Kingston will be project managing this year.
Brunswick and Regency Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) awarded
LARA
Lansdowne Area Residents' Association a grant for trees and
plants to
improve Lansdowne Street. Here is a picture of the
tree planting with
a resident, and workers from Brighton and Hove
Council who installed and
provided the tubs . The trees are Loquats,
(Eriobotrya japonica) which
have bold pointed dark green leaves,
with white flowers and orange yellow
fruit. Thanks to everyone
involved.
There used to be a noticeboard in Palmeira Square, does anyone know what happened to it?
The 2 pictures show the Google Street view shot from last year, and then one from yesterday.
Simon

the City in Bloom project. He can be contacted on 01273-292217.
Juliette from LARA outlined the City in Bloom initiative and how it
could help the new group that has been formed to improve and promote
the area and hold the council to account for the upkeep of the area
to boost safe enjoyment of the area and pride in the neighbourhood.

Dear all,
Re: Amber Food Stores - 17 Western Road
I am writing to advise you that I have visited the store at 17 Western Road , Hove this afternoon and met with the operator.
Further to my investigations from the planning perspective, I am satisfied that there has not been a change in the use of the premises and I will therefore be closing my file in this matter.
