Central area LAT being formed

A new local action team is being formed to fill the gap between the existing LATs.

This will fill the area between the CMPCA, the BOTlat and the B&A lat

Neighbourhood watch coordinator Brighton West

The Sussex Neighbourhood Watch Federation  have recently made Liam Mandville, chair of Brunswick & Regency Neighbourhood Action, Coordinator for the Friends of Bedford square FoBSwatch, the area coordinator for Brighton West.
This will enable all the groups within the BN1/2/3 postcode area to email concerns or questions to the committee meetings held regularly and liaise with the NPT to spread  reports to members.

Brunswick Town in Bloom

Simon Allen is the City Council officer responsible for the City in Bloom project. He can be contacted on 01273-292217.
Juliette from LARA outlined the City in Bloom initiative and how it could help the new group that has been formed to improve and promote the area and hold the council to account for the upkeep of the area to boost safe enjoyment of the area and pride in the neighbourhood.

East Sussex Trading Standards 2010 “Scamnesty” campaign is off to a flying start with over 3500 mailings being handed in the first week of the campaign which is set to run throughout February. 
The campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the problem within East Sussex, and helping victims of scams receive advice and support.

A mountain-bike riding robber demanded money from his victim after striking him in a Brighton alleyway.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the attack in the alley between Powis Grove and Clifton Terrace, Brighton, some time between 10.15 and 11pm on Monday, February 8.
