Sussex Probation Service,  Sussex Police and the councils Environment Improvement Team are ready to receive nominations for area improvement projects that they can carry out using people given community service orders in the area covered by your Local Action Team.

You can nominate local area improvement projects via your local policing team officers at your July LAT meeting – the team can consider projects that improve the environment and will give priority to those nominations have the potential to reduce crime and anti social behaviour.

If we are unable to include your project in the July/August  round of works – we will report the problem direct to the relevant council department for you.

Past projects include removing overgrown shrubbery – clearing fly-tipping - painting subways and underpasses.

We expect to be able to start and complete successful bids for project work by the end of August”.*

* Note – nominations from area LAT’s to be brought to the August JAG meetings.
