05082009 Hello,
As part of the Brunswick & Regency (LAT) campaign for safer streets, we
would like to bring to your attention the following pictures taken from
one of our members.

They show the same vehicle, a "Superdrug Savers" (YA 54 UAL) lorry
parked so close to a traffic island in Western road that buses and other
vehicles could not pass on the correct side of the road. Other vehicles
had to go the wrong side of the central traffic aisle, on the wrong side
of the road, to get past the lorry causing a highly dangerous situation.

The pictures can be seen on our parking gallery at
http://tinyurl.com/md58q3 as you can see clearly show a bus and council vehicle
having to cross to the wrong side of the road to get past.

Thank you for your patience.

I am sending this e-mail to advise on the situation.

Following recent concerns raised by the Brighton Public regarding our
vehicles causing traffic obstructions, we are in the process of
reviewing our deliveries to our store at this location.

We have been delivering to this store for some time now and have
encountered few obstruction issues here
. Unfortunately, we are somewhat
limited as to what options are open to us, given the location of the
store and environmental restriction in force.

We are, however, committed to ensuring that deliveries are made with
minimal impact on the general public, or fellow road users.

Measures we are considering are directing the driver further along the
road past the store, exploring alternative delivery times, delivery
point, etc.

We apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused to you and other
members of the public and thanks you for allowing us the time to
explain.

Kind Regards

Superdrug Customer Relations
