The lining arrangements at the Clock Tower are temporary following works carried out earlier this year by Southern Water and Southern Gas Networks.

Major works are to be carried out at this junction in the Summer/Autumn which will include  Road Safety and streetscape improvements for all users.

Improvements for cyclists include widening of the carriageway at the pinch-point through the Clock Tower, making the left turn from North Street into Queen’s Road easier for cyclists, removing the ban on right turns for cyclists from Queen’s Road into North Street and new Advanced Stop Lines.

The faded Stop line in Western Road has been noted and I have asked the Project Engineer to address this in the interim.
