The troubled house builder Taylor Wimpey has re-submitted revised plans for the development of the Royal Alexandra Childrens Hospital site.

They still include the demolition of the existing building, which the company insists is beyond commercially viable salvation. The new plans have reduced the number of apartments from 156 to 151 and have reduced the height slightly.

The Dyke Road frontage has also been redesigned and the new scheme is expected to go before the planning committee in October.
