Grafitti paint out
The first “paint out” took place earlier this month in Russell Square. Our photo shows society member, Steve Buettner contemplating a fine example of the graffiti genre, before covering it in a thick coat of green paint, kindly supplied by Sarah Leach of the Council's Cityclean department.

Adapt a box help tackle graffiti in your neighbourhood
Cityclean has linked up with Virgin Media to help keep their street side boxes free of graffiti.
The council is asking residents who have a box directly outside their property to consider ‘adopting’ it. Adopting a box means you can help keep the area around your property clean and tidy. You’ll be given free materials, help, advice and an ‘adoption’ certificate.
